One-Third of Android, iPhone Apps Engaged Before Users Get Out of Bed

According to the intriguing findings of a new survey by Ericsson, 35% of Android and iPhone owners use one or more of their mobile applications before getting out of bed in the morning.

Ericsson ConsumerLab’s research findings were presented at the Ericsson Business Innovation Forum in Silicon Valley earlier this week.

As it turns out, social media engagement is what’s driving the early morning app indulgence. As expected, Facebook is the most popular app to access in bed, with some eighteen percent of all users logging in upon waking up.
